Beach villa Morocco - Dar l'Oussia is a very special family beach villa near the village of Aglou, 56 miles south of Agadir on the Moroccan coast. A high standard of accommodation is offered throughout, with locally sourced furnishings and ornaments offering an authentic taste of Berber style. In the spacious living and dining area, large windows beautifully frame the lovely sea views.
This domaine is a luxurious oasis offering a sense of escapism in a remote landscape; miles of deserted sandy beach, the vast Atlantic sea stretching to the horizon, and mountains providing the backdrop. You'll find everything you need at the seaside village of Aglou Plage just two miles away by car, although if you want to stretch your legs you can also walk along the beach to this village. There is a lovely promenade there with a few beachside restaurants, as well as a grocery store selling fresh bread. Just outside the village, local fishermen sell their freshly-caught fish, squid, crab and lobster at the fish market.
A car is a must so you can venture further afield; head inland to the traditional walled town of Tiznit, which is steeped in Moroccan history and culture. Here you will find more restaurants, banks, shops and colourful souks selling all manner of fresh produce and leather goods, with a labyrinth of silver jewellery shops at the centre. A pleasant 25 minute drive south along the coast brings you to Mirleft where you'll find a market each Monday as well as French and ethnic restaurants: in the Old Fort there is a wonderful Moroccan restaurant with lovely views.
Sports enthusiasts have plenty of choice, with quad biking, deep sea fishing, surfing, hang-gliding, paragliding, 4x4 adventures and horse-riding all available in the area.

This is a larger villa on the Aglou domain and has been furnished in typical Berber style with warm colours throughout. It is central positioned in the domain and just a few steps away from the beach. This villa has a lovely atmosphere and - thanks to the addition of a specially adapted ensuite bedroom - it can accommodate a physically challenged guest as well, something of a rarity in many villas. The on-site manager Aisha offers an excellent service, meaning all concierge-type needs are taken care of. I recommend a visit to Aglou Plage in the morning to buy the freshest fish and seafood ever and Mirleft and Tiznit should be visited too. Mirleft has some good restaurants, especially Damiens restaurant, details of which can be found in the house book. Tiznit is famous for its silverware and has an excellent food market both in the town and in the walled Medina. I just adore this part of Morocco.
